Company Overview
Hardy Solutions delivers high-performance weighing solutions for process and packaging. Their products are known to have the lowest total cost to own across major industries such as Food & Beverage and Consumer Packaged Goods. We originally redesigned and built their nopCommerce website in January 2023 and have been collaborating on website enhancements ever since.
The Challenge
We have been working with Hardy Solutions for years, and they came to us ready to provide better support to their customers and get an “AI win” for their business. They have a large directory of help articles and frequently asked questions that’s relied upon by Hardy customers and staff members alike. But the platform they were using was becoming obsolete and more costly than it was worth. Plus, it offered a less than desirable experience for users.
Since we were already familiar with their business and website architecture, we made our pitch to kill two birds with one stone. Why not move all of that great technical support content into the sleek, optimized website you already have, PLUS add an AI tool that will help users search for anything?


What We Did
Launched in February 2025, Hardy’s Knowledgebase is now easy to find and update, and users have TWO robust search tools at their fingertips: traditional keyword search and AI Smart-Search (aka, a RAG system).
With OpenSearch’s robust indexing, we significantly improved the experience of keyword search. Results are more accurate and relevant, making it easier for Hardy’s customers to find answers to complex questions.
To enhance the user experience even further, we implemented an AI-powered retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) system that allows users to ask natural language questions and receive comprehensive responses. Hardy’s new AI assistant not only delivers clear answers in an “ask me anything” chat interface, but also cites specific articles as sources, enabling users to dive deeper into relevant content.
