The New Frontier in Internet Marketing and Strategic Website Design
If "web personalization" is new to you... don't sweat it. Unless you're Amazon or StubHub (or one of those big companies with lots of development resources and budget) chances are you have not dabbled into some basic web personalization features with your website.
What's Going On Here?
Above (the logos) shows a simple web personalization script. What we do is get the IP Address from the web visitor (e.g. in this case, you, the person reading this) and try to match it to a company based on a database.
For this session, the IP address is: 3.144.106.207
If the IP address is connected to a company, we try to display what that company is with the logos. If the ISP is connected with a generic ISP then we don't display anything. It's not perfect, but works most of the time and is certainly an attention grabber.
How did we do?
We'd love to hear from you.
