About Apria

Apria Healthcare is one of the nation’s leading providers of home respiratory services and medical equipment, including oxygen therapy, inhalation therapies, sleep apnea treatment, enteral nutrition and negative pressure wound therapy. Apria owns and operates more than 325 locations throughout the United States and serves more than 1.8 million patients each year. Apria, located right in our backyard is one of the largest companies based in Orange County, CA.

The Challenge

Healthcare is a highly regulated industry. Selling healthcare products directly to patients and consumers through a website is wrought with complexities, dealing with HIPAA rules, insurance regulations and prescriptions. Prior to coming to Goldencomm, Apria's former website vendor found the custom workflows Apria required very challenging. That and an absence of project management resources, slow responsiveness and Magento expertise found Apria looking for a new website and ecommerce partner.

The Solution

Goldencomm jumped at the chance to help take Apria to the next level of healthcare products ecommerce. From system optimizations, data integrations, to Magento customizations and custom admin settings and reporting, Goldencomm rose to the challenge and implemented numerous enhancements, modifications and integrations to help Apria grow its Apria Direct operation.
